On July 20th 2008, Linda and I had the awesome privilege to go live in the UK for eighteen months. We returned for our ten year anniversary of leaving the states to go live in the UK. We had lunch with my UK colleagues, had an evening with Nick, Sharon and Ann and went to church with the folks we had the honor of getting to know while we lived there. We were able to enjoy the cooler weather and walk through memory lane. It was great to be able to return to our home place in the UK. If only the UK would allow us to immigrate, we could have purchased the flat right under the one we lived in. Of course, there was lots of shopping involved. For those afraid to drive on the opposite side of the car with a manual transmission, I just did it which included driving on the left side of the road.
